Description
This started as me just wanting to practice my skills in drawing people, but then I drew the hair and it actually looked good. And I knew this was going to become a finished prized possession when I was done. I was inspired quite a bit by the new “Into the Spider-Verse” movie; specifically the scene where Gwen’s dad finds out she’s spider woman. You can see in the scene that on either side of them one has a red lighting and backdrop and the other has blue because of their contrast. You can tell they were against each other. But when he finds out it’s her. Her dad’s backdrop is a mess and both red and blue mix. It’s such a cool scene, and the colors really covey their struggle. It was so good. Her world plays off of colors and color associations. I was also inspired by a watercolor artist, Polina Bright, and her piece “Moonlight”. I can’t believe I got the hair and the face right. It’s digital, and I used the app “Procreate” to make it.
