This is a simple, yet captivating shot. Is this a dungeon? Looks like it could be. The lights placed along the wall are interesting. You wouldn't expect to find lights in a dungeon hallway. Not those kind anyway.
The lights throw off a nice, warm feeling in that cold stone hallway. The structure of the hallway, the narrowness, the placing of the stones in the walls, the lights all play into making this shot what it is. The photographer was there to catch it so that we may be able to appreciate it.
My next question, based on the angle of this shot is "where does this hallway go?" It looks like it could continue on the same level or maybe drop down to another level. Hard to say from where we are standing.
The clarity of this shot makes one feel that they can reach out and touch these stones. This adds something to the mystique of this shot.
The photographer did an excellent job in catching this shot. Very realistic, very simple, very unusual. Well done.
