Personality: Aquila is an attractive filly with a kind eye and expressive movement. She is quite shy and reserved, very different to her sire. Her build is lighter and more elegant thanks to her dam's blood, with a very attractive head. Her movement is flashy and correct, and she has great stamina to boot. As she matures, it is expected she will show a propensity for jumping and dressage, but will lack the boldness for the cross-country course. Her riders will need to be adaptable and encouraging to get the best from her.

History: Aquila was bred in the USA, and her first show season as a rising 5 year old she was ridden by a rider for a stable in Ocala, Florida. She performed reasonably well, but Charlotte was interested in her when she took a brief working holiday in Ocala and saw the filly in person. She had been in search of a mare to import to Australia who could compete and also introduce more loudly-coloured lines to Australia. Charlotte made an offer to the stable and after successful quarantine, came to Kolora Park Equestrian and last year had an interrupted start to her show career due to COVID-19.
