I didn't want it to look TOO similar to Voltorb, but similar enough that you can tell it's a natural progression. Now it has a beefier jaw and two live wires. It constantly hungers to "capture" Pokemon by eating them. Once inside, its prey is electrocuted by exposed, faulty wires. Because of all these volatile electrical components, Electrode is prone to randomly exploding. Its trainer must gather its parts and reassemble it, or take it to a Pokemon center and pass the buck to Nurse Joy...
