One of my favorite Barraki sets, and that face still intimidates me. *shivers*BIONICLE and characters are © to LEGO. designs belong to me.

Not one of my favorite sets, but definitely one of the coolest characters. And I agree that mask is still intimidating.
I literally said 'HOLY SHIT! That's badass" when I saw this. Good job man. As a fan of the character, I love the little red bits which are canon on the set/character. I think maybe you could have made them more pronounced here. They do stick out pretty significantly on the set. They're a little more subdued here. I think on areas like his hips and back that actually looks great, however on his arms and legs I personally would have made them more pronounced. I think it would have added to his menacing look. Overall though that is a a very minor detail that doesn't detract from the piece at all. He looks fantastically insect like and even more scary than he already was. Bravo.

Instantly recognized. I actually really like the super-extended left leg too. It's such a strange pose, but it works. Even so, all the watermarks kindof remove the confidence and class from the piece.

Thanks. I like practicing dynamic poses and exaggerating the figure a little. Also I agree about the watermark, I'm still trying to figure out a better way to present my work without having to overprotect it in some form or another. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

I think that a closer resemblance to the set could provide a more interesting color variation and textures like the glowing armor pads. Nonetheless I like the look you accomplished.

Thanks. I suppose you have a point actually, cause I did notice I tend to use one base color throughout the entire figure mostly cause it's easy. I want to try and do what they did in Legends of Metru Nui using different shades of the toa's color schemes. Also, I do plan to do an alternate painting of a glow in the dark Takadox sometime, so thanks for the suggestion.

This is a very interesting design for the Barraki. He was the first of the Barraki sets I got (although I only have two if you don't count Nocturn).

The ocean is an alien world on it's own, so it makes sense! It's also what made it an interesting project for concept artist christian faber.
