First off, I LOVE the color scheme of this picture. the red stands out so well against the green in this picture. Her pose is full of movement & it flows when breaking up the background. I also like how she is in focus whereas the bg has less detail it draws your eye to her first.
I donβt have too much to critique for this picture other than I would think about the light source. Itβs shown strongly in her hair but the rest itβs not very clear. Also since she is under the tree she would be shaded in a patchy pattern from the light filtering from the leaves & she would have a greener tint to her shadows. Light filtering through trees is very pretty & can be very interesting to add to a picture.
But overall, I love this picture. Itβs full of color & movement from the clothes, pose, leaves, & hair. It definitely reflects Spring in the best way. I love the color schemeβsimply love it. Itβs simple but effective.
A little tip another artist told me was to try shading with another colorβ¦ this is one of his pictures & I LOVE the Blue shadingβit makes the whole picture POP [link]
