Fire, war, fire, war... where has my world gone?This was supposed to be a pic to practice doing hair and then the hair wouldn't go right so I used a few references to try and get good hair and I think it turned out alright in the end. Let me know!

The hair looks fantastic! not only is it beautifully coloured but the shading and highlights work really well together. It isnt the most original hairstyle, but very well done none the less! The only thing I would recommend to you is at the nape of her neck, to make it more jagged rather than straight down.

Where the hair is pulled up under the ponytail is usually a jagged line, as all the little hairs arent lined up perfectly... kinda harder to explain then i thought!! lol

Oh yes I see where you mean now. At first i did do it jagged but I couldn't get it to look right which is why it's so straight :3

Nice work. I've always wondered about what to do with coloring hair; it's so very tedious. I love how the colors are bright and how they pop out from the background. The dark and light contrast in the hair (shadows and main color) could be a bit stronger, but that's just only because I like seeing higher contrast between midtones and shadows.

That is an interesting hair do... I kinda like the double fringe thing happening. You've done a great job on it, all those lovely lines. Love the contrast of soft shading and vector shading too, it adds a bit of variety to the piece, which is always refreshing. Gives the eyes more too take in and more of a reason to stay and explore
I've ben staring at it for a while now, partly because all those pretty lines make it interesting to look at, and partly because something has been bothering me about it. Nothing major, it took me a while to find, so it's nothing that causes any problems. However, the top of her head is too high, when looking at the position of the eye, and the way that fringe would be sitting. The top of her head would be about at the bottom of the 'V' in her fringes. But the big hair/head thing is common for younger anime girls, so it might only be my eye that picks it up 
As I said, I didn't notice it straight away, and the work is lovely. Just a friendly (or at least intended as friendly) helper for future reference.

Thanks! It's nice to know that my art is interesting :3 now I stared at it for ages and I can see why you would say about her head, but in the end I'll have to disagree that it's too high, I think it's alright where it is but I can see where you're coming from

It was the hair that drew my to the picture.
Is she crying? Because it looks like there are tears gathering in her eye, but I can't tell for sure. It looks misty like she's crying. Very nice work on the eye, by the way. I like the deep colors and expreesion.

I can't really see the tears (which is why I asked). They aren't that noticeable, in fact I almost didn't notice them. So, the tears need work.

Holy baloney that hair is amazing and that eyes is wonderfully colored!
As for critique I'm not sure about the skin, the hair (dominating the picture) is done in a wonderful vector like way, yet the skin really contrasts it because it is very soft shaded/colored in comparison, you should have tried cell shading it instead, other then that awesome work!!
