Matches is a Green dragon and Pet of miss grimwood, He acts as an almost guard dog of the school. but don't let his small size fool you, he is a hot headed short tempered little rascal, he enjoys doing what most dragons do...looking for things to add to his hoard of treasures, which in his case is mostly junk fond around the school, much to the grimwood girls annoyance, matches may not take kindly to strangers at first, normally growling or snarling at them,,but he's pretty harmless towards them unless threatened, but if one does something he doesn't like, they'll have a flaming Hiney before you know it, despite appearing as a grump, once matches warms up to someone he'll soon start to show affection and be more comfortable being around others,, such a wilbie whom he didn't seem to like at first but has grown very fond of him over time.. and if he really likes someone he'll almost grow protective and will try not let any harm come to them, that or hes just sees them as another thing he can claim to his Hoard of treasures

Matches being a dragon has the ability to breath fire..turning a bright orange when he does, showing the heat building up inside him until he releases a breath of flame, with that being said as well matches can also resist extreme amounts of heat, so much that his baths consist of bathing in molten magma , which miss grimwood says is how dragons in the wild would sometimes bath in volcanoes or lava pools,

Matches being a hot head is prone to getting angry and upset easy, if something ends up bothering him he tend to get feisty and will at times try and set them on fire..though his intentions may be just to burn them a little,
another problem with matches is, which was already made clear is that he steal a lot of things, being a dragon he can be filled with greed and want's what ever he can find., he'll usually take those things he nabs and buries them in the yard, which earns him a scolding from miss grimwood, ..also he can be extremely territorial over things, specially to the entire mansion itself, so if one were to visits...they need to look out..

though when not stealing or scaring away guest with his fire. he enjoys taking long naps by the fire place...usually even during the day,
he also enjoys playing with the ghoul girls. he'll play fetch with them if he sees them doing so..but he may just run off with the ball, but regardless of that he does not like being left out of things..hinting that he enjoys getting attention from others,
