Just did, cool stuff! It inspires me to maybe do some art for some original character designs of my own.

That would be 'the unknown tends towards infinity', wouldn't it be?

I see and taste all new colors, I smell a thousand black holes ripping through space/time... I rub my butt against the very fabric of our existence.

I support the original. Tis much more of an Ale tribute.
The alien is a stroke of genius by the way.

Thank you! Yeah, the second version is just Photoshop-wanking, really.

Wow. Awesome job. You have such a range in styles and pretty much nail it every time.

Awesome! Reminds me of Mati Klarwein in a couple ways.

I had to google that, actually. Big blind spot here. Thank you for the heads up (and the flattering comparison).

The colours are very tasty.

Who was she waiting for instead? Zaphod Beeblebrox?

If she and Zaphod had children, would they have two heads or four? You see, we assume that we all have one head because each of our parents had only one head before us, but our one head could actually be the product of one and one.

Of course the whole discussion is silly--Zaphod would probably only ever have children by himself.

NICE!
I'm glad someone did something for lefty the pacifist. Meeting fascinating quasi-possible lifeforms such as the good Bishop-Prince is exactly what she signed up to do.
Artwise- yes this definitely has a Moebius thing going on, but this is an improvement on the master's stuff if just for the neon palette alone. (I love the little touch you added with the ground rising slightly below the Bishop-Prince.)

I originally learned to draw by studying Moebius's work, but when it came to coloring this, the only thing I was thinking was "mmmmh... how would Alejandro color this?"

AlejandroIsAMinotaur In reply to The-Mirrorball-Man [2009-10-07 14:52:49 +0000 UTC]
Haha.. I probably would have made the whole thing gold, teal and bright salmon red, so your palette is definitely an improvement.

Hey, Moebius! The color scheme looks really good!

I briefly toyed with the idea of adding shading to the flat colors, but I think it works better this way.

yeah, definitely. You could always go in and fool around, just to see what it would look like, but the piece like this is solid.
