That is just freaky. I actually like Beastβs Hulk/Cthulhu design, though.

Even freakier than the other one.

Oh me too, definitely. I'd rather read something like that than the regular "X-Men" comic book, actually.

It looks absolutely random but I can assure you that there was quite a lot of thinking involved.

WOW!!!!
I reallly wish Brendan would come back to comics. This is just the sorta thing he woulda produced if they'd let him loose on mainstream comics. We got so close to having him fill Ditko's shoes on Shade, not that Bachalo wasn't good but imagine... I'm drooling.
I'm not a superhero fan but I KNOW I'd enjoy something like this. Have you ever read McCarthy and Milligan's Paradax, the tale of a media-savvy superhero yob? Sheer genie arse.
Anyway, my hats off to you for doing this. It's bloody amazing and a fine tribute to the king.

Thank you. Obviously, you inspired me to do this.
Unfortunately, these days, I don't think that mainstream american comics would welcome McCarthy with open arms. We're lucky to have had his "Solo" issue.

There are many, MANY great comics published right now. Most of them are not capes & spandex comics, though.

"The Boys" is just another take on the superheroes theme. There are much better things out there, such as Bryan Lee O'Malley's "Scott Pilgrim", Corey Lewis' "Sharknife", Ross Campbell's "Wet Moon", Derek Kirk Kim's "Same Difference", or, if you can get your hands on it, anything David B. has ever done.

This is such a great reinterpretation.
Jean as a cross-dresser, Angel as a bondage freak and Ice-Man becomes a human soft serve dispenser
Bwahahaha 2 thumbs up

Very nice. Reminds me of what the X-men may have looked like if they'd appeared in Grant Morrison's whacked-out version of Doom Patrol. Well done!
