Description
After getting wind of the enemy development of the air fortress Colossus, military planners demanded a superior vessel be built as response. The result was the Military Air Fortress Incomparable. An order of magnitude larger than it's rival, the Incomparable was meant to be the last word in armed airship development. Costing an absolute fortune, development and construction of the ship nearly bankrupt the air service's budget for two years. The fleet command howled in objection, and several officers resigned from their posts in protest.

Those who had the good sense to realize that no amount of complaining or resignations would deter this project either kept silent or lent full support. The Incomparable was lauded as not merely a warship, but a point of national pride.

It took nearly five years just to engineer the thing, and another four to build the monster. The lift gas requirements were so straining that half of the air fleet was grounded to accommodate this one super vessel's launch. Much like Colossus and it's respective commanders, the Navy struggles to find a proper place in the fleet aside from flagship. Incomparable, perhaps in hopes of the impractical thing managing to not come back, has been sent on several night missions to raid and bombard border cities. This action has earned her the nickname "The City Killer" in enemy press. While enemy measures towards fighter intercepts have been set up, the air fortress's sheer size has ensured it a fleet's worth of point defense guns. This has, to the dismay of certain individuals on both sides, so far kept the Incomparable relatively safe on it's mostly solo night "sightseeing" visits...
