Ok, I have to say I think Sevy's face still looks a little flat and to me the flaw is with how his (sun)glasses wrap across his nose and around the further part of his face, they are pressed fully against his eye... well of course this is plausible, but highly irregular. I would say the pose also looks a little stiff or angular, but it's a very tough call with regards to the type of clothes he is wearing, so it's only something I could say seems aesthetically troublesome, but could in fact be accurate...

No, this makes sense - I could tell there was an issue, but couldn't pinpoint its location. Judging from everyone else's take on it, the problem seems to be in that general area of the face, so I'm at least narrowing the scope.
I don't really think it helps that I never finished the line art on Sevy whereas Axel is pristine - Sevy just looks boxy and stiff - still early stages. I wonder if that's also throwing people off...
Hard to say if the sunglasses are right - When I recall memories of studying people with them on, it looks right in my head, but maybe they are pressed too deeply into his skull.

I really like that parchment look. You should find a way to make the lines a dark brown rather than pure black, I think it should "age" The picture if you get my meaning.

Good point. Didn't consider that...
Pretty soon it won't just be line art though, but for the time being, it should have something to give it an edge.
