Love the concept and all the details in this that you paid attention to- like the format, paper, etc. Looks awesome!

thanks much. it's funny because i once bought a brown old-school t-shirt to screenprint this on. but sadly, i never took the time to do it.

Thanx. I do have one final question.. What excactely is acetate? I'm not too sure how to translate that into dutch. My guess is that it is that milky-white transparent paper.. Am I correct? And a photocopier provides an image that is opaque enough? I will try that one. Anyway, if my tries are a succes I will upload my results. Thanks again. And your prints are great

an acetate is a clear plastic sheet. they are available in common printer and photocopier sizes. photocopy usually gives a good result. the only problem is when the toner is too low, it affects opacity.
good luck with your prints.

This is great. How do you make your films? Do you print them or do make them by hand? If so, with what kind of material do you draw on the film/ transparent paper? I heard that permanent markers aren't lightproof enough in the screen making proces.. Can you help me out?

thanks. i print my films on acetate using a lo-res laser printer. that way i can use any type of image. paper is also fine but the exposition time is longer. i prefer to scan my drawings, add some contrast and print them back before putting them on the screen.
it's true, permanent makers aren't opaque enough to produce a solid shape on the screen. but it does make some cool textures. i already used black acrylic paint and spraypaint on acetate with a good result. an acrylic marker would probably work as well.
another way would be to photocopy your drawings. i like this method because it gives the ability to resize the image easily when needed. and those machines work will paper and acetate.
hope it helps... if there's anything else, don't hesitate to ask!

c'est pas grave, disons qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup de français sur ma page alors ce n'est pas évident.

If the tree is me static watching tv the fruit of mine is for the crow as tv-dinner show 10 feet rotting below... as I am absorb to the ground 6ft, safe - but not existing ... just the roots touching the invisible boots of me above. I found the question of Jeopardy: where is the real party?

the thing in the tree is a static fruit. since this is the first test version, i added the outline with a pencil. in the next version, it will be printed with the black layer. also, some details are missing because the print is 50% smaller than the original image.

nice! what kind of paper did you use?

i always use basic cardboard (also the cheapest). this is the kind of cardboard they use for the back of note pads. i like it because of the numerous imperfections.
