Joker was very gay for Batman.
But, I've actually gotten that impression in other works before the Lego Movie; not often but...it's there.

I thought Joker was gay for Batman as a rule, regardless of what incarnation you see him in. Β What I liked about his second-in-command Harley in this one is that he actually respected and interacted with her as an actual second-in-command as opposed to a nuisance. Β Mark Hammil is guilty of that offense in several animated iterations of his Joker work, including the episode that introduced their relationship "Mad Love" and the episode "Beware the Creeper".

I think they wanted this Joker to be more kid-friendly generally, which makes sense as it's a child's film. They couldn't get away with an accurate Joker.

I agree i told my friend that Lego joker was gay but gay is ok and I love gay joker
