Description
So someone from the MUGEN community asked when Jack Sparrow would be finished. I told them that they obviously hadn't received the memo that I'd long ago buried that project. They asked if I could release the sprite sheet, and I suddenly wondered why I hadn't done so before. So here they are!I was never thoroughly satisfied with the colours, and certain details were always wrong (Jack's coat has big cuffs, for a start). The vivid pink backgrounds were bits the game engine removed automatically and the reason the "wave" animation has so many frames is because there are tiny drips and drops falling off of Jack for most of them.
If you've found this sheet and would like to use any of these sprites, feel free! I always hoped someone might take over the project and finish the good captain, but alas it was not meant to be (and I have neither the time nor inclination to do so myself).
A nice bit of nostalgia for me, from a few years ago.

People are more than welcome to use them for MUGEN. XD
I've still got the files from back when I had a stab at making him, might have to dig them out and see if I can understand the code since I've been coding for the best part of eight years now.

Ehhhh....I gotta say I think it is bad srry..... The motion blurs are just lines and the sprite has no shading on the shirt and bad shading on the boots. I rate it a 4/10.

To be fair, those "motion blurs" are only present for 1/10th of a second within the animation. You don't notice them anyway because the human eye isn't that quick. And there is very minor shading on the shirt, but it's minimal and can only be seen close-up.
Either way, there's a reason this sprite sheet isn't complete and why I gave up on making the character (partly because I know he looks naff), but if ever I should feel the urge to try and make the sheet better I'll be sure to run it past your godly approval.

Hey, I wasn't trying to be mean, just saying what i thought was wrong with it.
I do give you props for making a sheet like this and for spriting big sprites, just it needs a touch up.

I've since given the MUGEN project to...someone who doesn't even speak English that well who I can't remember, but they said they wanted to finish him so hopefully they'll make the necessary touch-ups. The ones in this sheet are definitely rough around the edges!

I am the creator of these sprites, but you should feel free to use them to create a MUGEN character if you want to (just be sure to credit me). In fact I still have a copy of the Jack Sparrow I was working on, and I am happy to share him with you if you intend to create Jack Sparrow for MUGEN.
I have no interest or intention of creating a finished version of the character for MUGEN, and I hope babelfish will not screw up the translation of this reply like it did for your comment.

You never know. The problem was that I couldn't get to grips with the coding, so even once I'd finished the basic animations I'd have been utterly stuck on the actual combat logic.
I tried out Jack as I left him and there was a certain pride in what I had achieved. Que sera, sera!
