My 170th color commission and it's a milestone which means more LAMA gear. And what better person to showcase than the one that fights evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight, she is the one, Sailor Moon!

Yep, this time around it's Usagi Tsukino from Sailor Moon in her Sailor Moon form underwater in LAMA gear. Seeing how you have seen other famous magical girl characters in LAMA gear, it's actually nice to see Usagi join the group as well.

I've already talked about Sailor Moon before but I'll give you an abridge version of my opinion on it. I have seen the 90's english version a couple times in the past and I don't remember what I thought of the show then. But now that I'm older I can say...it's not good. It's a bad adaptation as I tried to watch the original japanese version with 2 episodes per day...mistakes were made as I stopped at the 13th episode. Then a couple of years later I tried to watch Sailor Moon Crystals first two seasons...even more mistakes have been made . So much so that I kind of stop but for a different reason. I heard that the 3rd season is better but I'm going to wait on that. Now I don't hate Sailor Moon as I heard great things about the original Manga and if you watch the original japanese version or with the new English Dub once in a while it's becomes more enjoyable but you kind of have to admit, the anime didn't age well comparing to other shows. Kind of ironic because when they reboot it for the 20th anniversary with less filler they still messed it up...how do you do that? Thank goodness I've heard at least more positive things about Season 3 and that the art design is much better as the designs before were...*looks at Chibiusa with big lips*...creepy, to say the least.

But back to the picture, as I said, this is Usagi in her Sailor Moon form as you see with the tiara, emblem, jewels on her hair buns and her...short hair? Actually she usually has long hair but if I remember, she has a transformation pin so you could say that she use both her brooch and pen to transform into sailor moon but also change her hair no problem (in case you were wondering). I just look the extra details in her design and gear like the brooch as her buckle and having a bow on her back like in her transformation. In case you are wondering, this form is based on her Sailor Moon R uniform as you can see on her brooch. It really does look like if Sailor Moon is in LAMA gear as the first pose is like her transformation pose and her second pose looks pretty cute. For some reason I like the top right mugshot with just her smiling...I'm not sure why, it just stands out for me for some reason. And with the bottom right mugshot...it seems like she sees something cute in the distance

Coloring was fun for this one as while I tend to use the original colors from the anime, this time around I used the colors from the bluray covers of the remastered Sailor Moon as the colors in that really pop out. I tried my best to color her wetsuit to match her fuku and it shows. I do admit I did edit the line art a bit in some areas in order to tweak the helmet a bit. It's barely noticable when you see the line art but it's worth noting. Also I tried to fix her eyes to make the anime but I couldn't do it...oh well

And...that's all that there is. Not only that, this is my last colored work for a while, I've finally caught up and I don't have any more work. This would be a good time as I'm a bit busy and needed some time off to focus on other stuff (hint hint) but I'm glad I was able to make you guys happy and glad that this is was my last picture for a while. So with this Sailor Moon can join Sakura Kinomoto and Madoka Kaname as characters I've colored in LAMA gear, and with that the magical girl trio is complete ^^ Hope you love it
