From the Marvel Universe: A Recorder is a humanoid shaped android built by the Rigellians in a distant galaxy. Their main purpose was to be used as advanced scouts for planets being considered for colonization. They are programmed for conversing in 11000 different languages throughout the Milky Way Galaxy. Their only objective is to observe and record all they see. The most famous are Recorder #211 who accompanied Thor on his mission to the Black Galaxy to confront Ego (The Living Planet!) and Recorder #417 who traversed the Andromeda Galaxy with Hercules in an alternate future.
