During the 1980's, the styles of the motoring world changed to a more angular design, and Rolls Royce was no different. The Silver Spirit was very much based on the looks of the Lincoln Towncar, hoping to try and intervene in the American Market.

Oddly enough, the car did very well in the US market, making the largest sales in the US since the Corniche sales of the 1970's along the California coast.
