Chapter 8: Five Years Later…

Five years had passed since the death of Ares and some of the other mechanists. People had begun returning to their normal lives after all the trouble Ares had caused for the kingdom. It was finally getting back to normal. However, no one knew of the people who killed the mechanists, but that's just how Simon and his friends wanted it. Lady Abigail took over the throne since Ares had died, and so far she has been running the kingdom better than the last king had.

James had gotten a new mechanical arm to replace the one he had cut off due to the fight with Apollo. He had become a simple weapon smith. While he was working around his shop, he heard someone come in. He turned around and saw Trevor entering. He had gone back to his regular life of being a doctor like before, the same profession he missed. "How has life been treating you, brother? It's been 4 years since I last saw you," James chuckled. "It's been just great" Trevor replied. James smiled, beginning to show his brother around his store.

As for Simon, he was wandering around the night. He had gotten a mechanical leg since his old one was far past unusable because of the injuries Ares had caused him. "Thievery… it's been as good as ever. A lot has happened over the years, but at least I have more people to steal for then just myself," Simon told himself, chuckling while looking at a fort off in the distance.

At a home in the village, Bell was wandering a well-furnished house with portraits, which were mainly hung in the hallway. She entered a room that looked like a child's room, approaching a crib. "So you are awake… hello," Bell said, smiling and looking at a little baby boy in it. She reached down with her mechanical hand, and the baby boy grabbed one of the fingers giggling. "Just like your father… I wonder how Simon is doing on his mission tonight?" Bell questioned herself, knowing all that had happened over the years with her and Simon. She just smiled, picking up the baby and walking to another room.
