Now at last we come to the final portrait in my series, (I seriously doubt I'll do any more) Lord Tirek. He was actually a lot scarier skulking around the streets of Canterlot in a big, billowy cloak stealing magic than he was as a giant, rampaging, roided-up centaur demon. Element of mystery I suppose.Watercolor on Master's Touch 140 lb. paper. Finished: 11/3/14.

He was looking like a old mysterious sorcerer that way and was using psychological tricks instead of power.
Then he turned as a big powerful villain who just seeks power. Still a very big one. But with not much of backstory. Thanks to the comic we have some, but they are semi-canon.

I agree, Tirek was much creepier when he was weak. Of course, he wasn't nearly as dangerous back then and I bet any of the Princesses could have defeated him without Discord's help.
