Good! Good! Now strike them down and your journey to the Dark Side will be -
Hey! That's my line you hack!
Excuse me! I don't remember bringing this guy into the series! We can't afford yet another space opera crossover with me running around. This universe can't hold itself together.
So what do you propose we do?
*Meanwhile, in some other universe.
Why do I have the strangest feeling something bad is about to happen?
This painting made Tirek out to be Darth Sidius and one thing lead to another.

He was looking like a old mysterious sorcerer that way and was using psychological tricks instead of power.
Then he turned as a big powerful villain who just seeks power. Still a very big one. But with not much of backstory. Thanks to the comic we have some, but they are semi-canon.
Wonderful work

Thanks!
I really need to get caught up on the comics. I haven't read any of the recent ones.

Been a while, I know.
You can buy the volumes now. They are several comics in a hard cover that you can buy at Amazon. Unless you want the comics with the numerous covers. But they are going to be rare now.

WHO SAID you needed the world's power at your fingertips to bend the people's will into doing your bidding?
Tirek's wit is as sharp as his might is, and he's the FIRST to use psychological tricks to force innocents
into bowing down before his demands !
EVERY SINGLE PIECE of Lord Tirek artwork that's hit the artwork scene is ultimately BADASS,
yours is no exception, hitting the latest Equestria Daily Drawfriend !

CONGRATULATIONS, the best villain would find your hard labored piece of tribute adequate
for his refined tastes !

I agree, Tirek was much creepier when he was weak. Of course, he wasn't nearly as dangerous back then and I bet any of the Princesses could have defeated him without Discord's help.

Not a clue.
The better question is "does it matter?''

The unknown is always more frightening than what can be seen, for the imagination fills in the blanks to create something truly terrifying in the mind. Understanding and expertly utilizing this principle is what made H.P. Lovecraft such a master of horror.
