I'm trying to get back into the habit of sketching every day. I used to have no problem doing it, but most of my quiet time comes at night these days when I'm too exhausted to really get into a creative mood.Anyway, as you may have seen me mention, I play Zidane over at FFMUX. Layle from Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers (geeze, could that name get much longer?) appeared recently and they've been fast friends ever since.
Two blond troublemakers roaming the countryside looking for a distraction. Layle always seems so bored XD It's sort of like the 5-8-9 formula from Dissidia without extra Butz-derp.
I miss our Butz :<
Anyway, some Layle and Zidane for you to enjoy. Hope to submit more soon.

Play Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers on Wii. The control scheme and camera can be a pain in the ass sometimes but the storyline and world is worth it.
Layle's such a lovable jerk.

The way you drew them made them seem naturally suited for each other. Like appearance-wise, though I suppose aspects of their game's style seem similar, with the whole steampunk/fantasy vibe.
It's just the way this whole sketch fanart of those two made me desire for them to be a buddy-team in a game doing all sorts of mischief (...like Cowboy Bebop?? Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid??? YES, it's that kind of vibe).

Ha ha! These two -do- seem like the sorts that would be friends (Both blonds to have other BFFs who are redheads!). And I agree with the assessment of CC:CB. My arm hurt like WOAH in that game, but it was sort of nice to play something to short, sweet, and to the point.

Keiss and Blank are on the same level of awesome, too.
Even though the storyline in CB is short, I spent plenty of time running around on foot and chocobo just enjoying exploring the world.

Oh yeah, it's definitely a sandbox. Once you get to that last point, you can roam freely to do other stuff, which is nice.
