Ever find yourself in the middle of a project and suddenly get inspiration for something else entirely? No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't shake this idea, so I decided to get it down on paper. This is a visual experiement more than anything-- just to see how these two look together. Shino and Hinata from Naruto. Sorry for the sketchiness ^^ It really was just a quick doodle to get things out of my mind.Characters © Masashi Kishimoto

Hmmm, not what one thinks of in a pairing, which makes it so effective for me! The angles, the proportions, the expressions (especially Hinata's), everything looks so... tantalizing! Not to mention, it looks like the closest thing to a crying scene I can get (yes, I have a thing for pretty characters in tears). Comfort scenes also work. Hinata's expression just wins me over; so vulnerable, so upset, so... her! Absolutely fabulous.

The neutrals really bring on a sense of aloneness, which is perfect to Hinata's expression. I love how it's sweet, yet sad all at the same time.
