I figure society is juuust about ready to handle jetpacks; we've a whole generation raised on platforming and knowing their timings in relation to real-world physics (...mostly)

Yup! I originally intended them to be bandits with money or gold flying everywhere
but it might scatter the composition so I guess this version tells enough of a story.
