Description

I decided to take a break from the comic for a moment to make some other OCS that may or may not appear later on. ;3

As for who they are, I'm going to keep most of that a secret, but here's a few basics you can know.

These two were also once members of the Pale Followers, but eventually left the leadership of Kathuu and Inastari for the White Palace. Each had their own reasons.

Oh, and just to be clear, they are NOT a couple. In fact, they're siblings. Ruvic is adopted, granted, but they are siblings nonetheless and love each other as such, but nothing more.

Didii

The younger sister but tall for a Moth and Butterfly Hybrid, she was born with a unique beauty in her wings. Instead of being mostly a single color as hybrids of their kinds usually are, her wings consisted of many colors, earning her a nick name of 'The Pastel Moth' because of it.

As such, she truly stood out among the others and many in the joined Tribes sought to court her. While she appreciated the attention and kindness of her many suitors, she was a romantic at heart and never really could find the right one among the group. Outside of her social life, she enjoyed the Butterfly lifestyle more than the Moth's, and delved more into music and history unlike her brother. Eventually her yearning for knowledge was greater than her desire to stay in one place, so when Ruvic was summoned to the White palace for a special task, she went along with him.

For many years she served as one of the King's many scholars and Librarians, quite happy with where she was among like-minded and quiet bugs such as herself. Trouble began to arise though as the Radiance's influence grew, and the threat to Hallownest got worse each passing day.

The Hollow Knight, already grown when she arrived, was expected to be a Pure Vessel, one that could stop the Radiance. How this would be done was unknown to everyone but the King's closest circle, though she had her suspicions that the King wasn't telling her the whole truth.

Her unease grew worse when she began to slowly realize that perhaps the Hollow Knight wasn't as Pure as everyone seemed to believe. In fact, even through small gestures, he would show that he seemed to love and care for things when he shouldn't be able to even think for himself. Thus, began her doomed and tragic fate, because in time Didii began to grow a strange love for the Vessel. First admiration and curiosity, then a quiet and secret love for his bravery and surprisingly gentle nature. A love she wasn't fully sure if he could reciprocate, or even would be interested even if he did. So she kept her feelings to herself to the very day the Knight was sealed away, and the disappearance of the White Palace...along with her in it.

To this day, no one knows what happened to the King or the servants that were inside the Palace when it vanished from Hallownest forever.

Ruvic

The older brother and one of the tallest in the entire Tribe save Kathuu and a few others, not much is known of the Peppered Moth except he was found as a grub. He was taken in and introduced to his two sisters, one of them being closer to his age, Didii. He grew very close to his new family, even if they weren't related by blood, and as he grew older he learned how to fight and become strong in order to protect what he cared about. This came with a price, because his attitude began to change as well.

Ruvic was never a very happy or talkative fellow, but as time went by his temper seemed to get shorter along with his tolerance for fools. This was matched only by his wry attitude and sarcastic, even dark, humor from time to time. It alienated him from many of the other Followers, but he found he could care less really. It's not that he didn't want friends, he just often felt like he didn't have TIME for friends. After all, how was he ever to get stronger if he wasted his time building relationships that probably wouldn't last anyway?

Things changed when he was summoned by the Pale King himself to the White Palace for a secret assignment. One that the King felt he alone was qualified for; not just because of his skill but because of his few real obligations to the Pale Followers. After some hesitation, he ultimately decided that he would rather serve the King than remain in a stagnant place like the Queen's Gardens, and left the next night. What he never expected was to be joined by his sister Didii, but he was secretly happy to have her anyway.

As it turns out, the assignment he was called forth on was to be a bodyguard. But not just any bodyguard, but a bodyguard to the King's newest Ambassador, an emerald swallowtail Butterfly named Cyne. The King explained the previous Ambassadors were eaten by the residents of Deepnest, and his Kingsmoulds were borderline useless without him there to direct them. So he would trust a warrior like him with this important and sacred task, and he wasn't to leave her side so long as she ventured from the palace.

While he was annoyed with what he considered a babysitting task, it wasn't long until a secret romance began to brew between the two bugs, much to Didii's delight.

Sadly there wasn't a lot of time to explore it, because when their tribe was attacked Ruvic was forced to leave the White Palace in an attempt to help save his family. Cyne followed after, and this is probably what ultimately saved the two from meeting the same fate as the rest of the Palace's denizens when it vanished.
