Doodle I did for my deviantart friend *TheOldGoat1955 ..I told you not to expect too big <----no reason for the flame..I just found it awsome..
(I did a lot of funnier sketches, but at the end I chose this..I'll e-mail you the sketch dump if you want)

Do goats giggle? Well, I tend to laugh heartily (especially since being influenced by this picture of me!). Do you have, or know of, the expression, 'Acting the giddy goat'? That is, behaving in a foolish manner...I do it a lot. Always have, and I always will! Hee hee Bahahahaha. (Goat giggle)

I have to admit, it's not in common usage now - I probably picked up a lot of really old expressions from my parents, who were in their mid-forties when they had me, and I'm 59 in a couple of days, so I use a lot of sayings that went out of style decades ago. Most English people wouldn't use that one, and most young people won't have heard of it.

Actually I heard something similar watching the 60s' tv serie "Doctor Who"...the main charachter kept always saying "oh, my giddy aunt!"

Oh, yes, that's probably more well-known, and it's sometimes still used, with a degree of irony. In fact, I may have got it mixed up, because we say 'acting the goat' for 'playing the fool', and I have added in 'giddy'. Because I'm mad.

You don't have to worry about being outwardly elegant, because you're quite young (I have no real idea how old you are - everyone under 30 and over 16 looks about the same age to me) - but when you want to be elegant, I bet you'll take to that with great ease. Just try it one day to please your grandma! Once you leave the room, you can jump into your sandals and skip down the road!
