Description
Today's work, a commissioned watercolour of a very happy baby wearing a christening gown. It's about 9x13", which means that baby's head is only about two inches across - difficult detail work in watercolour.

That truly is adorable! Lovely baby, lovely painting. The hair on the forehead looks so.... "soft", just like the hair of babies is in reality!

Thanks very much, Jon! This one was pretty complicated, really - painting something white is pretty difficult anyway, but painting white clothing is particularly hard. Glad you think it turned out okay!

Thank you very much! The owner of one of the businesses near the gallery mentioned the background as well. It was a nightmare - I kept having puddling and spotting until I washed it over with sepia.
