Oh, thank you! I tried to make it realistic but simple and "clean" at the same time. I was terribly hungry when I painted this one.

Thank you very much! Watercolour is an unusual medium - I used to really hate it. A lot of watercolour artists forget that they can do work in dry brush that looks pretty realistic, and it turns out all "airy" and "light". To me, those just don't look quite finished. I'm so glad you like this one; I was really pleased with it, but it never really got much attention in DA. Maybe I should try submitting it to a club.

You are most welcome! Yes, that is what I was talking about: the "airy" and the "light". Or rather what looks like a huge drop of water on top of a dot of ink, if you know what I mean. This particular piece just looks so inviting and delicious
Yes, that sounds like a good idea. I'm sure David knows of a few great clubs for such pieces

I'm not at all surprised, Chris. They are by far my absolute favorite of your work. It's no doubt that others would feel the same as well. Not only are they cool, but they are also very stylish and amazingly done.

Thanks very much! Interestingly enough, this one just sold to a couple who had just gotten back from holiday in New Zealand! For painting this one, I was really in the mood for sushi, but I was stuck at the gallery, so I thought, "Well, I'll just paint some!" It just made me hungrier... D:
