//PERSONALITY//
Positive:
Trait 1 > Determined; once he commits himself to something he will refuse to give up easily. Often to the point where he could hurt himself by mistake while trying to complete a task, or sacrifices his health from trying too hard.
Trait 2 > Introspection; one of the few things keeping him from going overboard is him sitting down and simply thinking. He doesn’t do it often, and the effects vary. Grudges will become lessened, but he will convince himself that he still needs to get back at them. His beliefs will be questioned before he ultimately reaffirms himself, but with new perspectives in mind.
Trait 3 > Confident; he is sure of himself and that his actions and choices will get him the desired results, at least in the long run. When he says something or makes a choice, he will rarely intentionally go back on himself.
Neutral:
Trait 1 > Pity-Empathy; he will refrain from snapping at those who are greatly physically weak, indecisive, or otherwise aren’t the sharpest tool in the shed. Though his empathy will vary from simply not yelling at them to truly trying to help them, even though he doesn’t really know how to help in most cases.
Trait 2 > Stubborn; he has his beliefs and ideologies set in stone, trying to get him to change them isn’t impossible but it isn’t easy. Do not get him started on any of the queens, he will not shut-up.
Trait 3 > Ideological; he hates the system of the tribes as they are set up now. He thinks the whole idea of a hierarchical regicidal monarchy is madness, and has no qualms with making that clear to everyone else.
Negative:
Trait 1 > Egotistical; he thinks highly of himself and his ideologies, for he is a visionary who won’t tolerate those who oppose him. Those who directly challenge his strongest beliefs will either be cussed out or get a long counter-argument speech, often the latter.
Trait 2 > Short Tempered; he snaps at people quickly. However, he is able to bite his tongue if it’s an authority figure. This isn’t out of respect or fear, but just that he knows that it would be self-destructive to anger them.
Trait 3 > Grudge Holding; when he gets the face and/or name of a dragon who directly, or even sometimes indirectly, wronged him, he will try and find a way to get back at them. However, he doesn’t hold grudges for minor things.
Likes/Beliefs >> Writing, Reading, Criticizing, Confidence (As a trait in others), Silence, Order (In the sense of society not cleanliness.)
Dislikes >> Grain-based food, The word ‘Concubine,’ Major physical interaction, His validity being questioned, Chaos and Disorder.
Fears:
> Losing; be it his loved-ones or just in general. It’s why he refuses to give-up. . . to give-in. . . he would rather die. . . for if he loses. . . . .
> Social Entropy; that everything is simply going to fall apart and there is nothing he or anyone else can do about it.
Wishes/Dreams:
> He wishes to bring about a whole new structure of dragon society. One where all the tribes are united as a single force, not with queens and kings and heirs, but with a thirty dragon Oligarchy of only the best and brightest. Three of each dragon from each tribe. The exact details are open in his mind to change just as long as he ends or assists in the ending of the current structure of the Monarchy.

{{{CONTENT WARNING: Dragonet Death}}}
Baby Dragonet (1-3) > Argillite was the third egg of a clutch of seven and before they were born their BigWings, who was a blood-egg, was taken from their nest by Queen Salamander’s royal scouts. This led to the death of the runt of the clutch as they were unable to break out of their egg before suffocating. None of the siblings noticed this until they met their mother, Salix, a few days after hatching. Salix, only a little annoyed at the death of their unborn sibling, was glad to hear the royal scouts had gotten the blood-egg. While his siblings were fine with their BigWings being taken once she had explained the honorable position he would be given; however, Argillite questioned her and the queen. He thought it was “unfair to have their sibling taken away.” This led to a divide between Argillite and his mother, and his siblings who thought he was being over-dramatic. Salix would never visit them again, going back to her distant Sib-Group's den. At least they had Gator, she was strong enough to be a BigWings.
Time passes on with them learning to fly, swim (poorly), hunt, basic survival skills, all of that. Argillite was seen by the siblings as the 'black sheep' of the clutch. Not hated or bullied, just treated as if he wasn’t there until he spoke. Argillite didn’t personally mind this, but it did have an effect on him as he never truly learned how to interact with his siblings. Around the age of two, they met a young adult SkyWing who asked them to hide him. Initially they didn't agree until he offered them payment in the form of books. After a bit of haggling with his siblings, Argillite got them to agree to the SkyWing's offer, he really wanted those books. The SkyWing, Prick, ended up becoming something of an un-sib to the group helping them when he wasn't popping in and out constantly. Even with his irregular behavior, he found time to teach Argillite how to read and write. Prick also, unintentionally, instilled a deep interest in politics in the young Argillite while he talked about the guilty until proven innocent system of the SkyWing kingdom, along with his other complaints of SkyWing society.
Living in the thick of the Diamond Spray Delta, surviving was tough, resources were scarce and tensions between Sib-Groups were high. This took a toll on Gator’s growing mind and body, the group's honorary BigWings, she did her best to push through it, but one day she crashed. Her joints felt atrophied and her scales were pale in color. It was discovered she had contracted a rare parasite that slowly eats bone marrow. The chances of survival were not high.
Dragonet (4-7) > As Gator was physically unable to take care of the group, and was overall just mentally drained, Argillite was thrust into the position of honorary BigWings due to being the next biggest out of the group. What he lacked in Gator’s strength, leadership, and social skills, he learned to make up in speech giving. With some help from Prick, he learned how to maintain his siblings morale and keep them moving despite that circumstances. However, things would take a turn when Gator’s affliction killed her. She would die in her sleep after months of suffering. When Argillite found out he completely ‘stone-walled,’ his mind not knowing how to react. While his siblings mourned, Argillite continued to act like normal, trying to comfort his siblings but without any idea how to, his speeches failed to do anything. Things only began to further deteriorate from there.
As food became harder to put on the table, tensions within the group soon became higher as Lotus began criticizing Argillite for his failure to lead and support the group. Eventually one of these arguments reached their boiling point and Lotus in her rage tore at Argillite’s wings before leaving. Argillite pursued after her, but with his injured wings was unable to. No one else was able to find her either, and they would never see her again. Prick sat down and talked with Argillite and had him reflect. Argillite eventually accepted his failures and drastically increased his effort put into the group. He was supposed to be their BigWings, not just the largest sibling. And while he maybe couldn’t lead them, he could hunt and gather.
Flying out almost every night for the next couple of years, he conditioned his body and more importantly his mind to withstand and ignore pains often to the detriment of his overall health. Pebble, worried about Argillite overworking himself, tried to get him to relax more and let the others hunt in his place, but Argillite insisted he was fine. He also began further reading and studying the history of the draconic world late into the night after hunting where he began to notice patterns throughout history but didn’t make any major theories or connections yet.
Food in the area around their den became further rarer, and Prick decided to move to Possibility, feeling as though he was a burden. They tried to convince him to stay but it ultimately failed. The Sib-Group then had to make the risky decision to try and start taking food from a different sib-group's terf. At first things went well, but eventually their luck ran out when the BigWings of the other group, Elk, found them lurking in their land. They tried, and failed, to talk their way out of the situation, and a fight broke out between the three and Elk with Goose suffering a severe chest wound that would become infected and quickly kill him within days. Argillite was distraught. Completing shutting down for days he did nothing but think. In that time he did more than mourn, he theorized. Feeling responsible for the death of Goose and the disappearance of Lotus, he began drawing connections from his studies on the draconic world’s history as his mind tried to pin his pain somewhere else.
A few months passed, morale was extremely low between Pebble and Argillite. Argillite’s ribs were visible at this point, and he had a cough that refused to go away. Pebble, deeply worried he may lose his last sibling, began trying to help Argillite and talk him out of overworking, but even when Pebble broke into tears Argillite insisted he was okay. One day they got a ‘knock’ on their ‘door’. Crawfish, their true BigWings, had come back to them, in a straw box. The royal scouts told Argillite and Pebble about his bravery in the unfortunate ambush during their training mission and how he served his squadron well. Argillite, livid, snapped at them. They ignored him and left as Argillite stormed away to vent. It was in his venting that his mind made a connection. All of this pain, chaos, suffering, and loss, was all on the hands of the Queen Salamander. As she was the foundation supporting a broken system. He concluded that the regicidal hierarchical monarchy, as he called it, they lived in was innately self-destructive and unstable, putting innocent dragons into terrible situations that forced them to make worse decisions to survive. Dragons like Elk, who he still hated even after this relization, but now saw as a victim like himself and his dead siblings. His whole perspective changed. He saw now who the true villains were, the Queens, even the ones who kept law and order like Queen Ibis were still supporting an unstable system.
After burying Crawfish’s body, Argillite convinced Pebble to move to the MudWing capital, he only agreed do to the uncharacteristic energy of Argillite in wanting to. At the age of six, Argillite began writing political books, explanations on the flaws of draconic society, a few political theories, and the insanity of the system that all queens contributed to while Pebble would assist with the selling and distributing of the writings. They were not popular at all, and most saw them as treasonous criminals. For this reason Queen Salamander, and her guards, ignored what she saw as inconsequential rabble-rousing. However, a very select number of dragons did read and partially agree with what Argillite wrote.
One day, Pebble was distributing their latest writing, ‘Pendulum Society Theory for the Layman,’ when he was attacked and beaten up by an extremely loyalist Sib-Group. He survived, but with permanent injuries to his chest and ribs. Argillite was then forced to return to their original style of survival with him hunting all day and night with no time for writing, but sadly Pebble would get unlucky several months after the attack. He contracted pneumonia during the colder season, and his permanent injuries sustained from his beating caused the death of him.
Young Adult (Present Day) > With none of his siblings still alive, he has no reason to remain within the MudKingdom. When he was younger he briefly thought about going to the Isle of Mezzo, but ultimately didn’t as he knew the journey wouldn’t be worth the risks involved and he still had to take care of his siblings. Now that they are all dead, he has no reason not to. His plan is to try and become a trainee for the Alliance then form the rest of his plan as it goes from there. He flew his away across the ocean to the Isle of Mezzo, the journey was difficult due to him deciding to fly there during a storm, but he made it in one piece.
His first week on the Isle was rough, little food, little shelter, but a few dragons were willing to give him a spare coin or piece of bread. Eventually he found himself on the grounds near the Alliance-University castle, when he met Rafale. A member of the Order of the Ancients, after some talking they decided to start mentoring. Argillite wasn't sure why, but he didn't complain, this was the first step to making the world a better place.
