Today we embark on another trip into the extensive world of ~InspectorIroh and take a closer look at Suki. In Inspector Iroh, there is no such thing as "the police", instead, each nation has its own equivalent. In the Earth Kingdom, there's the Dai Li, who pretty much handle all police-like work. A subdivision in Ba Sing Se are the Kyoshi Squads, a police-like force, but also an initiative of the EK government to preserve some of the nation's cultural heritage, with Kyoshi being the Avatar and all.

Each Kyoshi Squad, a unit consisting of 3 persons, has one captain, and Suki is one of them. Her unit is stationed at the office where Iroh, Zuko and Mai work.
Kyoshi Squads typically consist of nothing but women, in fact, scrap the "typically" part. Even to this day, women see it as a honor to join the Dai Li in the image of Avatar Kyoshi. It should be noted that the other Dai Li divisions are offering equal opportunities to both genders, and qualified female earth benders are welcomed with open arms among these ranks.
