This deviation is commissioned by Thomas.

For the first time, I received an e-mail with an order to deliver an RPS; a real physical sketch, one of the products of my commissions program. The sender, Thomas, asked me to draw "humanized Twilight Sparkle", not being very specific about the context, ergo, I was free to do as I pleased.

I contemplated doing a bust or a full body shot, and decided to go for the latter. I took my inspiration from this paining , a portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte which depicts him in the middle of the night as if the painter "interrupted" him during his work.
Since I had the sneaking suspicion that this drawing would end up in some sort of physical display, I decided to go with that. Instead of Napoleon, it's Twilight who takes time from her nightly studies to pose for her visitor.

My suspicions were right as Thomas received the drawing in the mail today, and he was kind enough to put some pictures on Flickr . I find this highly fascinating.

Might color this, but for now, I'll present you the back and white sketch.

PS: Yes, it's "protégé", but deviantART is being a dick about the accents on the Es.
