Puissant Warmblood Wild Transformation Event
Prompt 3: Free-jumping

Aster had been working with the mare for some time now. She had gained the nickname 'Astra' due to the way her silvery coat now shone thanks to the condition she had gained over the last few weeks, and after some deliberation Aster decided to give the mare some new challenges to see how she tackled them.
Astra was immediately on-edge the moment she caught sight of the poles and small jumps set up along the far side of the arena. Her ears rapidly flicked forwards and backwards as she eyed the new obstacles with obvious hesitance, and only stepped close to them with much encouragement from Aster. Indeed, most of the session was spent simply getting Astra used to the unfamiliar objects. However, the mare eventually plucked up the courage to walk and even trot over several ground-poles on the lead, and Aster could tell that she had some potential for jumping. She moved with grace, strides balanced and steps clearing the poles with ease. At the end of the session, when Aster let the silver mare off the lead in the arena to allow her to blow off some steam, the mare cantered a lap before boldly leaping over a jump - although the jump was just a simple pole, she cleared it with plenty of space left inbetween.

I'm trying out a new, rougher style that's both quicker to do and easier on my hands/wrists (the cleaner style I developed takes a fair amount of time and energy to line and colour) for this piece - I do still intend to use my typical style for bigger show pieces, but since I still have several drawings left to do in not a lot of time for this show I'm most likely going to be using the simpler one for the remaining images.
I'm quite happy with the background effect I managed to create on this! The jump colours are taken from the Puissant Warmblood banner and partially inspired by the group jump examples.
