Okay, basically I was sitting in Western Civ., looking at my new necklace with the zodiac signs around it, and I though "I could do pictures with the zodiac signs and the corresponding symbols!" Well, there are to many humans and human like things in the orignal zodiac for me to do it and be pleased with the results. So then I though "Chinese Zodiac!" this is the first one. Hopefully, it will be a series. I'll try to do the snake tonight because that should be an easy one to continue with when my brain melts from all the homework I have.

All right, I'm not going to lie to you- I LOVE HOW THIS TURNED OUT. The only thing I don't like about it is the back leg and how it's head looks out of place without having scales like the rest of it. But I have to say that this is one of the best Chinese Dragons I've ever drawn. I reffed a few pics off of google, but that was only so I could decide on the best pose and figure the best way to do the mane- the expression and the position are totally original ^.^ I even went and found the Chinese character for "Dragon" on google. (It's my first time trying any of those sort of characters though so it's kind of sucky. I still like though ) I'm going to make a copy of this so that I can do a colored version without permanantly screwing it up. By the way, I did this in my old sketchbook trying to use it up so I can start my new one without feeling guilty- that's why the background is grey. I have other sketchbooks that don't turn out like that.

So, like I said, hopefully this will be a series.
