I allways try to get it right, with this model I had luck that it isn´t that big

Yeah, that definetly helps. I am about the think of doing another picture of all my models, as some units and a bunch of tanks have been added since i did the last one... I will definetly be doing another one of these, hopefully somewhere around a year after the first one!

I don´t have an Idea how I could do something like that with my armies, they are way too big to get a detailed foto I think

It strongly depends on the camera used and the technologies at hand. I am in the very lucky position of having a photographer dad that both has the equipment and the software to do some amazing stuff. The last updates (Landraiderspam) the most upper picture and the third picture are not a single one, but 4-5 pictures with varying focus point, merged together to get a crisp picture. 

The large army update i made about a year ago had been taken with a camera my dad wanted to play with. It was perfect for pictures like that. As we don't have that camera anymore, i might try to make some kind of panorama picture of my army

I still am not sure what what the base model was that he converted. I was thinking about it while i was painting it but too lazy to search for it
