I'm not an expert, not really, but I have painted before. I'd say you did an excellent job, especially considering you're a beginner
The color contrast works wonderfully for the overall tone and the lighting give a sort of heat to the under-colors of the piece. All in all, a fantastic start!
I'd recommend watching tutorials and applying color theory as well, if you want to get really serious about it.
