That's very nice, is it inspired from somewhere?
By the way, the white sky and the reflect in the water create a nice hourglass

Thank you for your comment. It isn't really, I did it on a whim from imagination. Interesting observation, I did not notice the hour glass shape

Getting the hang? This is simply awesome! I loved it, especially the cold and dark colors you used. And your water is perfect. Congratulations, because this is amazing.

Wow, this is such an expressive piece! It's a very quiet, calm sort of serene landscape and the soft blending with the trees in the background gives the illusion of fog. The tree and the structure in the foreground (I think it's a temple?) along with the stepping stones frame the image really well.

I can't really say anything bad about this, only some suggestions maybe you could try for a more successful composition. I'm no digital artist, so take my advice with a grain of salt. The stepping stones in the foreground look really great, but if you had them curve around into the center of the piece so the path goes into the distance you could utilize a really great leading line. It's important to think of composition devices like these when planning your image, they can make a really huge difference!

Also, the image doesn't have a very clear focal point. I'm not saying it necessarily has to have one, as it's a landscape, but the structure in the bottom-left corner really lends itself to bringing mystery and setting into this artwork. I'm still not sure if it's a temple or a lookout or something else, so if you moved it to a more central position and further into the image so that you can tell what it is then it might be an interesting change. The other thing you can do to establish a focal point is to include hints of other colours - I really love your colour scheme and using all blue as well, so it really depends on your style.

I really hoped this helped, and congratulations on such a beautiful landscape!

Thanks for taking the time to write a long comment. I agree with you. I realized my mistake with the composition when I was nearly done, since I did not expect the drawing to turn out that well (I was doodling at first). The building was supposed to be sort of a temple, but I only gave a hint at the pediment and doric columns. In terms of the focal point, I did intend for it to be the part where the mountains close in on the lake, but I should have made it clearer I suppose (since it's just a foggy mess down there).Β

Again, thank you very much for your critique, it is much appreciated
