Ugh, the top half of this is all blurry
stoopid camera. Of all the pieces I did at school this past semester, this one is by far my favorite.
For my class called Bestiary one of our projects was drawing animal skulls; this is my coyote skull upsidedown with the jaw open. This was also of course the most time consuming piece I did all semester
and one of the largest.Pen and ink on stonehenge paper, about 2'x3'.

Thanks! it's sepia ink, I mixed some of it with water and just let it drip down the paper, did a bunch of layers like that, then flipped the paper upside down and did the same thing on the other side of the skull.

Truly amazing piece. It is so detailed and realistic.. you can really follow all the flow lines of the bone and the crevices and dips. I also love the background color you chose

I really like the contrast between the bone and the blood. I like how there are different shades of the blood and the skull is mostly just white - it's very striking.
