Enjoy some Medusa Fanart. I have to admit, my background isn't that imaginative, but really, as always, it was the last thing that I did.

I have an alternative for this without her hood ready, but I don't plan on submitting it, at least not yet.

This is the witch Medusa. I'd mark it as spoiler, but I still stand by the opinion that anything that is shown in the opening cannot be a spoiler, so this is in fact, not a spoiler. I was inspired by the most recent episode, and was going to redraw a scene from it, but I ended up totally buggering up my proportions. After that I was going to draw a bust of Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann for what ever reason, but it didn't work out, something about the eyes, or the classes. From beginning to finish this took *checks* about an hour and a half.

This is actually a first for me. As opposed to what I usually do where I draw something with physical pencil and paper and then scan it and color it, I drew this completely in Corel Painter Essentials. It was actually something that I had wanted to do for a while, and in fact, when I colored my Hinata picture, it was only after I had made a failed attempt at building something out of nothing using only painter.

The problem with painter that I have had is that it is a bit more difficult to get my ideas out with it. Pencil is just my medium of choice for some reason because all of my painter stuff ends up being really really tiny. The solution that I came up with was to use a really large brush and then just do almost a silhouette of what the final product would be so that there was no way that I could zoom in too far. I think things worked out rather well this time. I really do like how this piece worked out. Maybe I'll make another attempt at a more detailed piece a little bit later for the scene where Medusa appears in the new episode.

I own neither Medusa, nor Soul Eater.
