~Peril~

As we were making our way back I thought of what the Engineer had said back in the RED base.
"I thought you were in the other base with the rest of the group."
Then I suddenly realized what he meant. When we were walking up to the entrance of the base I sensed a disturbance not wanting to go in.

"Wait mon ami." Sniper turned his head in confusion wondering what cause me to stall.

"Wot, is there somet'ng bothering ya?"

"Oui, zhe base it's quite. Something's not right." He took a moment to listen, it was dead silent. No shooting, no shouting of distressed voices in battle, not even the sounds of footsteps of a Pyro or Scout patrolling the area. Past the door was empty hallways stained with dried blood but not signs of a body. The wind traveling through the building structure started making a low moaning sound.

"I'm startin' to think the same. Wonder whot happen while we were gone." We remained standing outside of the doors trying to find anything else. Strange how only blood was on the wall, from our position we could see nothing else. If a battle had taken place here there would be the metal scattered across the room from a destroyed sentry. Dark ashes still hot from the burning of a Pyro's flames. Parts of the walls and floor would have been blasted off from a Solder or Demo's explosions fighting off the other team. But no only sweep of blood on the back wall as if it was painted there to serve a purpose, a warning.

"When I was in ze enemy base, zhe Engineer spoke of a group heading to our base. I didn't find it strange zhat he was zhe only on defending… until now." I began struggling to breathe, becoming light headed I laid down against one of the old wooden poles supporting the bridge.

"Mate? You okay there?" Sniper turned and rushed over to my aid, making sure I wasn't going to pass out from blood loss.

"I'll be fine" Just then we heard fast pace footsteps coming in our direction. Sniper took out his kukri waiting for what was coming out. Over head on the second floor was Scout, still with the enemy intel strapped to his back, jumping up onto the bridge.

"Sh**, what am I doing up here I'm going to be seen!" He quickly jumped off hiding in the corner where he caught sight of us. He was just as surprised as we were, but he was shaking like a leaf.

"Wot happen?! I thought ya already captured the intel!" Sniper yelled throwing up his arms, storming over to Scout.

"Shhh-shhh!D'ey going to hear you." The Scout begged holding a finger to his mouth, desperately trying to keep quite. "Please, Sniper." He grabbed on his vest, he was very panicked by what he encountered.

I wanted to go over and help with calming both the Scout Sniper, but as soon as got to my feet another figure came in to view. I looked over where the Scout had come out from on the second floor. There stood a RED Soldier who was probably chasing after the Scout. His attention turned to me as an evil grin crept across his half visible face.

"Bon voyage, Frechie!" He fired a rocket at me, I quickly dodged it but the blast from the explosion knocked me back, forcing me into the water.

"Spah!" I heard Sniper's voice cry before I was helplessly submerged into the waters.
