Description Edit: I digitally removed the blue outside the eyes.

So this is a basic, quick drawing of Roy and Naomi's child - A shiny female Rattata named Alicia, born on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Well she's mostly shiny, the orange tinge comes from her mother. The white part of her tail came from her father. She is pictured here at about two months old; her color has set in (babies are completely white at birth), but her buckteeth have not grown in yet. She can only drink liquids, and her food has to be completely mashed up. She is tiny, about three inches tall here, but she is a huge source of joy to Roy and Naomi. Every fear that her father had during the months leading up to her birth melted away the day he held her in his arms for the first time

The preceding drawing to this can be seen here --->

I continue to love her!!!!

You did a great job removing the blue from outside of the eye - was that hard for you to do? (I forget which program you use - I know how to do that kinda thing in Photoshop, but I know digital is more new to you so I'm curious how it went! Things like that frustrate me easily, haha) xD

I used MS Paint to do it. I don't know what the tool is even called, but the way you use it is that you click on a certain pixel, and the color is transferred onto the tool (I guess it's like one of those "droppers" you might see in a lab when you want to administer a fluid by the drop.) You then can use that color elsewhere. I applied the color of the white area around her eye, and just painted over the blue with it. I did the same thing with the other eye, but used orange. The fix is noticeable, but only if you zoom in really close; you can see where the white and orange look too "solid," but it's much better than having the blue there.

Ahh! Okay! That's exactly how I would have done it in Photoshop. Ya done great!
And that tool is called the "eye dropper"! xD

I forget, have I ever tried to get you to try Fire Alpaca?
I have a vague memory that you didn't like it, but I don't remember well. x3

Yeah, you told me about in the comments of a Roy drawing from last year.

comments.deviantart.com/1/6181…

And yeah, I didn't like it because I had no idea how it worked. If someone showed me how it worked, or if I saw a tutorial on it, that might help a lot.

I KNEW IT, hahaha, I just knew I already told you and that you didn't like it, I just couldn't remember it fully, and I suggest FireAlpaca to a lot of artists. xD

I know Photoshop better than FireAlpaca, but unfortunately Photoshop isn't free. D;
I'd love to show you Photoshop in person, I'm no good at explaining with text! But even in person, I think I just confuse everyone I try to teach things to.

But! you're doing awesome with traditional, so maybe there's no need to learn some of the deeper tricks with digital programs just yet!
