YEEEESSSSSH I love Coraline. The cat in the movie reminds me of mine a lil. And he sounds like my friend Z...so its all sorts of crazy.
I wish i had gotton it as an x-mas gift. I saved up to buy it. THO I do have a 2 coraline dolls that i love.

and thanks it was a quickie commish for a girl on the My Little Pony Arena.
She wanted Coraline saving the cute lil circus mice. Which I know they were only that way when they were in the evil other side. But since coraline is also older in this, so i im gonna guess the mice are the good ones. they were wicked cute. I loved the scene with the lil circus mice...my friend had a joke that whenever i space out it goes to that scene. it doesnt but it still its funny.

Im the same way i love that movie I could watch it over and over again. I really enjoy whimsical movies like that. there is never enough whimsy in the world. I personally <3 the jumping mice in there lil uniforms. i was hoping mr. bobinsky would get them to be that awesome in the real world. Odds are the mice out smart him. haha.
the other movie i watch alot is cloudy with a chance a meatballs. my friend and i saw it worrying it was gonna be bleh. but we must be easily amused cuz we were the ONLY 2 ppl laughing the entire time. hell a character would just make a face and we would laugh. idky i think it was just our kind of humor.

Yeah, it was so funnt when the mice sended bobinsky to give coraline messages xD In the coraline book in the end coraline explains to bobinsky that her name is coraline and not caroline and then mr. Bobinsky get all confused that his mice was right the whole time

In the book coraline never ha ble hair. It was orginally brown. Like in the film in one scene when coraline was in her parents room there is a photo on the table where coraline is younger whit brown hair standing next to her parents. I dont know why they changed her hair blue but i think it's nice tat she has a more un-normal hair color

yah i noticed that in the movie there was a picture of her with brown hair and i wanted to know if in the book she had brown hair that turned blue...or what. that makes sense that it was just a stylistic choice to change it. probebly a coming of age thing. like she has a new home so she wants to have new hair and sort of a new identity ya now. i liked her blue hair and nails and her odd way of dressing in the movie. i thought it was more whimsical...i could relate more to a kid like her when i was younger then most of the child characters they have on tv. i wanted to read the book. im a big neil gaiman fan anyway. but the movie came out right as i bought it...and i was afraid ppl would think i was reading it JUSt CUZ i saw the movie...which always makes me feel like crap cuz i try to read alot of stuff b4 the movie. cuz ive had books be far better then the movie...like the movie the watchman..yah...i read that YEARS b4 the movie came out...and when i saw the movie...i wanted to punch myself in the face for how far from the book it was. should i still read coraline the book? would u recommend it?

I saw the movie first and i still wanted to read the book. The book isnt long and it's really easy to read. There is some things that werent in the movie. The director of the movie said in the extra material (wich i got in my coraline dvd) that he wanted coraline to be un-normal and tall. So actally in the book Coraline never had blue hair it's just the Directors style (hes the same guy who made the nightmare before x-mass ). But yes, i recommend that you read the book Also Wybie isnt in the book. he was created to the movie that coraline wouldnt talk to her self so much. Also the metal hand in the end is tricked into the well in a different way So the book is really scarry even if you watched the movie. So READ IT O__O xD

thats awesome im definatly gonna read the book then.
yah...actually he was the producer and co-writer of nightmare b4 xmas. Henry Selick, and sadly everyone knew coraline was written by neil gaiman...but they assumed it was directed by tim burton and he got alot of kudos for it...which personally if i was Henry Selick i would be upset. he has dont alot of work with tim burton but sadly i think tims name gets him more attention...and lately tho i enjoy most of his work...i feel/fear he is now just riding on his name alone...and might be doing things just for the sake of trying to hard...like alice in wonderland...i felt was him trying to hard. Henry Selick definately has a style of his own just like Tim Burton...but is definately not recognized as much. I am a tim burton fan...no doubt. but i get a lil upset when i see anyone not getting credit where credit is due.
