Description Lady Maureen Ardith Caledonia Dixon of Angland wanted to escape her life as she knew it. She detested the exceedingly boring and easy life she led, and was absolutely disgusted by the very idea of being married off to someone she never even knew, let alone loved. On the night before her 18th birthday, she fled her home never to lay foot ever again on those shores.

By 21, Maureen Arcadi was the captain of her own ship, The Golden Horizon, raiding any vessel that dared to come across her in open waters. By 25, she had become such a notorious pirate that almost no country would give her and her crew refuge...none that was, until she discovered a new land not too far from her former home, Angland.

Maureen would name this new country Dublin, and claim it as her own. She would need to travel further inland however, far from the shores where she executed her best, and last, battle against the Anglish armies trying to capture her. It broke her heart to watch as the Horizon sank beneath the chilly waters, its burning timbers the only light to be seen in the moonless night, but she swore its sacrifice would be for naught. Though unable to establish a proper base at the time, she would later return to create the town of Port Horizon, also known as Horizon's Last Stand.

By the age of 28, Captain Maureen Arcadi would be known as Lady Maureen Arcadi the first, the founder and ruler of Dublin, the pirate nation.

Ok, since the 300th and 400th deviations had something to do with the actual number, I felt I had to do something involving the number 500 for this one too.

So, here we are in Dublin, 500 years in the past.

This one is yet again inspired by ...we were talking one night, and she brought up the fact that there didn't seem to be any Giants in any GT story that were actually freaked out to see the Tiny. (Don't quote me on this one, I'm paraphrasing here: my memory = teh suxxors)

So here we go: Maureen Arcadi, pirate captain extraordinaire, freaking out to see a Human cross-over right in her own tent.

Is he the first Human ever to cross over? Probably not. But I'm pretty sure he's the first to cross over in Dublin.

P.S. I don't think you know how absolutely TEMPTED I was to keep this comic going for pages and pages based simply on them exchanging screams back and forth.

Maureen and John (c) Me!

It's true. The bigger person always seems to be in the know while the smaller person is almost always in the dark. Is it coincidence or subconsciously on purpose? Hm... *ponders*

"Inspired yet again"? :S

I hope Maureen treated John like a person.

...

After their screaming competition that is...

In either case, it needs to be seen more often in GT stories. I mean, come on, you can only have that kind of crap going around for so long before it gets old and boring. Knowing our luck however, the second someone does it, it'll either be hailed as revolutionary or stupid by the twibs. -__-;;

Someone didn't read the newest Oath update yet, did they? XD

Well, I'd like to tell you she did, but even I don't know...I just know there was plenty of screaming from both. ^_^;;

I would go with the former revolutionary option. That or it would go unnoticed.

Guilty. ^__^;;;

I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she at least didn't turn him into a pet.

Gah, that's even worse. -_____-

No worries. XD

Most likely not, now that I think about it. She and her crew are still blazing a trail in Dublin, she doesn't have time for a pet midst that journey. Traveling companion maybe, straggler and/or stowaway, but not a pet.

I read it. Do you mean that part about his clothes catching on buildings? That still doesn't mean he can't have a pair of shorts and a shirt. > <;;

Well, the whole conversation really, but...that is too true! At least he's got his 'jamas to fall back on in case he can't persuade Morrigan.

TheBrigeeda In reply to resizer [2009-06-01 04:48:37 +0000 UTC]

Well, let's just say there was plenty of screaming, plus some running, and misunderstandings about both sprinkled in.

Plus grumpy pirates waking up to the sound of their captain screaming like a banshee, including Stryfe and Annie's ancestors.
