Description
This one was actually a suggestion of the poll I did, by the amazing , and the second one on the list, after Tikal.

So, for Chaos, I decided to take reigns from all of his designs, and roll them into one. He has the basic head shape and brain of his first form, the tail of his 4th and 6th, the bones of his 2nd to 6th form, his spines from his 6th and Perfect form, his spines from his Perfect form, and so are his eyes, combined from his previous eyes. And technically, his posture is from his 6th form. And I actually gave him that floating emote-er that Chao have. I had passed by a picture, while looking for a reference for Chaos, that SEGA confirmed that Chaos was a chao mutated by the Master Emerald. While I don't know if that's true, it would make sense, since it kind of seems like he's the parent of all the chao. So, I decided to give him that, in case it is true, and the make a reference to the Chaos Chao in Adventure 2, I think. Oh, and if you're wondering where the sports tape is, look a little closer at his arms. Knuckles, after adopting him (see below,) tried to put sports tape on him, but it just sank into his arms. Knuckles was about to try again, but the rest of the team stopped him, eventually convincing him it was a lost cause.

Like Tikal, his role is drastically different. Eggman had actually discovered the Master Emerald, and after taking his machines, and running test on it, he accidentally released Chaos. He then realized this would help his conquest for world domination, and after stealing the Sol Emeralds from Blaze (I don't know if I want the Chaos Emeralds to exist in this universe, but so long as I added Blaze, I'm adding the Sol Emeralds,) the basic plot of Adventure (minus Tikal's interference) occurs. In the end, Burning Blaze and (possibly Super) Sonic defeat the Perfect Chaos, and save Bygone Island. However, instead of banishing Chaos to the land of "You're Only Going To Be Referenced Again in Sonic Generations," Chaos is reduced back to his normal form. Eggman doesn't tell them where he found Chaos, and leaves them. The gang doesn't know what to do with the Chaos creature, but Knuckles's inner guardian tells him that Chaos is too important to leave behind, and his big heart insists that Chaos is a creature deserving of a home. So, he takes the creature in as his pet.

Chaos, as a character, is a combination of a a dog and a small child, making him a perfect pet and friend for Knuckles. The gang is still a bit afraid of him, but as long as he doesn't get a hold of the emeralds again, and so long as Knuckles is happy with him, they'll be content. Tikal isn't sure what to make of this, since he is the root of her father and tribe DYING, along with the near destruction of the world, but realizes that Chaos is reformed, and with Knuckles there to guide him in the right direction, he won't be a problem that colossal ever again. She also believes that guarding Chaos from harm will lead Knuckles to becoming the Guardian he was destined to be.

Man, I've had more to say about him than any other character.
