Tangledroot looked at Kestrelfeather with confusion in his eyes. "You what?" he asked, breathy. Kestrelfeather looked back at him with a small smile. "I just don't think I'm much use as a warrior anymore. We're getting old brother, and it's about time I go to the elder's den. I think you should too." The tom shook his head, "I will not!" he declared. "I have too many duties to attend to! And what's more, I'm deputy. I can't just abandon my clan for the warmth of the elders den. Plus, you're one of the best hunters in the clan. How will we survive the leaf bare with another warrior gone?" he asked, concerned. The she-cat scoffed. "Oh Tangledroot, you act like I'm dying. I'm perfectly fine, besides some achy joints and sore paws. Next moon I was thinking of asking Flarestar if I might." Tangledroot let out a shaky sigh, "if this is what you want, then you have my support," he murmured reluctantly. He gently bunted heads with her and looked forward to Pitch Clan's camp. "I'll miss having you by my side in the warriors den," he sighed. Kestrelfeather nodded, "and I yours."Kestrelfeather will soon become an elder. Just a head up~
