I think color is cheap. It's so easy to take a good picture in color, because you can just look at something in a two-dimentional way. In black and white photography, you are forced to look at values, shadows, etc, really analyze something in a three-dimentional way.
Plus, I just love black and white. And I can develop it myself. (Color processing is alot more complex, and although I have a general idea of how to do it, I can't afford it, and neither can the school. You're also using much more dangerous chemicals...funny, because on the warning label for the developer I use now, it says something to the extent of "carcinoginic generating research for this product is inconclusive"...)
I hate this picture, anyway, now that I really look at it. The print came out all fucked up because the school's enlargers suck, all except one...usually, I fight to the death to get the good one, but I must've surrendered this time.
