Actually it does.
The Confederates only formed because of Abraham Lincoln being elected. Abraham Lincoln was extremely anti slavery and was trying to abolish it. So the south seceded and formed the Confederacy in order to protect slavery since it was the biggest industry in the South.
The Confederates fought for slavery, and so the flag stands for pro-slavery.
