Description Been a while, but here's a new Legam/Leliana fan art. InspiredΒ  by the recent Inquisition trailers teasing with bits of Leliana, and the mystery of the Warden's disappearance. Not sure where the next game will take us, or how important the Hero of Ferelden will be even in mentioning, but just felt like drawing something relating to the long-distance/both have Very Import Jobs type relationship.

Background inspired by the tentative box art for Inquisition.

Sadly my Tabris/Leliana relationship did not have a happy ending. They did get married, had a kid, but guilt and duty and other various and sundry things led to their permanent separation. Leliana became Nightingale and Tabris became...

Well, let's just say that becoming a Spirit Warrior had some unexpected and rather unpleasant consequences.

Ah, angst, eh? Headcanon is a fun thing.

I've adjusted my canon to fit in with things that will happen in Inquisition; the stuff I had before (staying in Denerim to advise Alistair, adopted a dwarf casteless, etc) aren't my personal canon now, but an alternate. I'm actually looking forward to whatever little details we learn that affect the Warden/Leliana, no matter how small - and just whatever we hear about the Warden in general. Headcanon is lots of fun, but I prefer to make mine fluid and change as we learn more about the world post-Origins. I see it as a challenge to my creativity to see what I can come up with to accommodate new lore details.

Oh, I'm almost positive I'll have to make adjustments once the dust settles from Inquisition. But they'll probably revolve around Leliana and will hopefully be happy ones?

Generally speaking the companions fared much better than the Wardens in the two canons I'm definitely using for Inquisition (I haven't decided about my Cousland; I played him for the gamerscore more than anything else XD)

I just wish they'd hurry up and make the Keep available; I'm gonna need time to reconstruct everything since I migrated from the 360 back to PC two years ago.

Happy, sad, bittersweet; mine are mixed depending on the Warden. Legam's probably falls in the bittwersweet just by the nature of his job.

I know, right? I mean, I've been on the PC for years (I did have the Xbox one first since my old PC couldn't run Origins, but I got a better computer like... two months later and my brother got me the PC copy for Christmas), but it'll help fix import bugs and I have alternate Wardens whose saves I no longer have and want to continue their worlds, but not necessarily replay Origins for. I'm also curious about the interface and such.
