Specials
Neutral Special – Fire Blaster: Krystal’s staff is more than a long golden stick that she can use as a melee weapon. With this power, she can toss fireballs from its head at a speed between the blaster of Fox and Falco. The projectiles may not be all that strong, but Krystal can rapid fire them with ease to keep enemies away.
Side Special – Freeze Blast: Possibly one of the most useful power Krystal’s staff has, she is able to spray a magical mist infused with the powers of ice. Not only does the attack do damage to enemies caught it in, but staying inside the cone of freezing mist will freeze a target solid for a short time. This leaves them perfectly defenseless and helpless, prime for a smash attack!
Up Special – Rocket Boost: While Krystal may lack the explosive firepower of Fox’s Fire Fox or Falco’s Fire Bird, she has her own way to turn herself into a rocket. Building energy into her staff, Krystal can release it turning her staff into a temporary rocket. While holding on, she shoots up along with it. Unlike the moves of her teammates, it can only shoot straight up, but it does so quick and further.
Down Special – Ground Quake: Krystal’s staff can do far more than just hurl projectiles. By slamming the key end of her staff into the ground, an earth-shattering quake is released. The attack reaches out a short distance in each direction on the ground stunning and dealing decent damage to ground based enemies caught in the range of the quake. If used in the air, Krystal will now drop straight to the ground to perform the attack. If an object happens to be attached to the ground, the quake will kick it back into the air, free to be claimed again.
Final Smash – Cloud Runner: While she’s the newest member of the Star Fox team, she’s still a member of Star Fox. As such, she’s a powerful pilot. So when it’s time for her Final Smash, she calls in her highly customized ship, built off of an Arwing and a native species of Sauria, to take to the skies. While inside the cockpit, Krystal will hang to one side of the screen. Using either attack buttons will result in firing off Cloud Runner’s laser cannons, a twin laser blast that is far faster than the Landmaster, but also far weaker. Holding down the attack will cause her to charge up the cannons firing a much stronger blast. Using a side attack she fires up the get and cuts across the screen, allowing her to attack from the other side. When the Final Smash time is up, the Cloud Runner will arc up towards the top center of the screen, giving her one last attack chance before she falls back down onto the stage.

Snake Codec
Snake: A fox, I’m guessing she’s with that McCloud guy?
Otacon: In more ways than one. That’s Krystal. Fox’s girlfriend and team telepath.
Snake: Girlfriend huh? Fox must be one lucky fox.
Otacon: Focus Snake. And try to keep those thoughts out of your head. I told you, telepath. She’s the sole survivor of the planet Cerinia. While she was looking for whatever caused the disaster, she wound up on Sauria where she was captured in a giant crystal, later to be saved by Fox.
Snake: I take it she was recruited at that point? And where she got her jumpsuit.
Otacon: *annoyed sigh* Just…keep an eye on that staff of hers Snake. It can release different kinds of energy for different attacks. And that’s an eye on her staff Snake, not her.

Palutena Guidance
Pit: Okay, I see a fox, but she’s blue. Foxes aren’t blue…are they?
Viridi: Not normally. She better not be dying her fur. Those dyes can really mess with the environment.
Palutena: That fur of hers is 100% natural. She’s from another world. And the only one left.
Pit: Well that’s sad. But who is she?
Palutena: Krystal Fox. A new recruit to the Star Fox team, and Fox McCloud’s girlfriend.
Viridi: Which means Fox has something Pit will never have.
Pit: Hey! I could have a girlfriend if I want.
Viridi: Sure, you could.
Palutena: Pit’s single status notwithstanding, best to keep your guard up pit. Unlike the rest of her team she carries a mystic staff that can release deadly fire blasts or freezing winds, or even shake the ground itself.
Pit: Sounds like a useful tool. But I have plenty too. And it’s not like she’ll be prepared for my Guardian Orbiters, turn her staff’s powers back on her!
Palutena: Oh, she’s also a telepath so it’s likely she heard that. Good luck Pit!
Pit: Wait what?

Cruller’s Advice
Raz: What happens if a fox is exposed to Psitanium?
Cruller: Not what you’re looking at. That fox is naturally psychic, just like you. But her biggest advantage is that staff. What it lacks in power it makes up for in secondary effects. Psi-Blast and Acrobats are your best options here.
