1 Batman: “Batman to Watchtower, I have a flash fire in the batcave and I can’t put it out fast enough – I need Superman.”
2 Atom: “I’m sorry, he’s out of time. Everyone is out of time. It’s been a long day… I can teleport you out, if you have your transponder.”
3 Batman: “It’s Spoiler’s baby! He doesn’t have a transponder, and the conflagration is too much to reach him! If I use the Halon, it will suffocate him! I just need Clark and his ice breath for twenty seconds!”
3 Atom: “I’m sorry, it’s too risky. I can…”
4 Batman: “The baby started the fire! Do you understand? He’s the son of Darkseid! All this time, he’s been under the Joker’s sway! We can’t save him because he’s both in danger and creating the danger!”
4 Spoiler: “Help me put it out! All that fuel is catching!”
5 Atom: “Damn. But even more of a reason we can’t commit a Talent. Activate whatever fire suppression systems you have. Your cave is mostly rock; it should burn out soon. If the baby survives it…”
5 Superman: “It’s alright, Ray. I’ll go.”
6 Atom: “Superman… No. You already pushed it too much today… if you of all people were to turn…”
6 Superman: “Monitor the situation closely. Just twenty seconds, and I’ll be out.”
