1 Stephanie: “I still don’t like it.”
1 Superman: “That’s your right. But I’d hate to never follow up with the people I encounter. Huh. Looks like I’m coming to my next visit just in time.”
2 Superman: “Hey, Christine. It looks like you’ve had a hard day.”
2 Christine: “Superman!”
3 Superman: “It’s an efficient method, but you’re kind of out in the open. Are you really trying this time, or do you just need someone to see you and listen?”
3 Christine: “Honestly, I don’t even know anymore, Superman.”
4 Superman: “Then let’s talk. You’ve got time, after all, right?”
4 Christine: “I suppose. Yeah. Why not. I just hurt so much, Superman. It just keeps getting worse. It feels like my body is betraying me. They said they could do surgery on my hands, but that I’d never be able to lift more than five pounds again. What kind of life is that? Even my Bible weighs more than that.”
5 Christine: “I… I can’t even open a jar anymore. And after Bob bailed out, there’s no one to do it for me.”
5 Superman: “Can I open anything for you? I’m pretty good with that sort of thing, you know.”
6 Christine: “Heh. Heh, I wish. I wish a man like you would be interested in a woman like me. You know, I tried doing that computer dating thing, after Bob left. But nobody ever messages someone like me back.”
