I REALLY want to get back into posting fairly regularly, but I've been mostly practicing animating in Maya and Flash for my reel (I'll try to post my animations, too).I wanted to do a cartoony self-portrait because it's been a while since I've done one. I also wanted to do something different, so I tried painting it. It was hard for me, since I usually drawn in a more flat/graphic style, but it was a really fun to do and I learned a lot. I want to try digital painting more. Hope you like it!

I actually don't know what you mean by that, but I can see that a couple of the features do remind me of Mario (namely, the nose minus the nostrils). Thanks man! Want to see more stuff from you!

did you use a texture for your hat? or were those brush strokes??

I did everything by hand, so I did the hat texture with a grassy looking brush. You think it looks good?
